About the Role:
The Sr. Solar Operations (Solar Only) is responsible for managing estimates and general operational oversight of medium to large (up to 10 mw) scale solar construction projects.

We are seeking a Sr. Opst Manager to join our growing team! This position will report directly to the CTO/CEO in our San JOSE, CA location.
The Sr. Project Manager (PM) is responsible for planning, leading, and managing all engineering activities associated with large projects (>$1M). Ops Manager ise expected to have significant project leadership skills and experience to successfully execute these projects. The Ops Manager is accountable for the total engineering effort, including design, procurement, construction, project controls, estimating, document management and contractor oversight, typically from Site survey to Mechanical Completion. The Ops Manager leads and manages the project engineering processes as described in the plan.
Essential Functions
- Essential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field location
- Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicable
- Is responsible for acquiring engineering and design resources, and ensuring that engineering contractor staffing is adequate, to meet project objectives.
- Is accountable for the quality and productivity of the Soleeva’s Ops team.
- Leads the engineering portion of the front-end engineering process, including preparation of the project scopes of work, completion of the project estimates, preparation of funding requests and the integrated project schedule, and the development of the production design basis.
- Establishes effective communications among the engineering team to ensure alignment around business objectives, project objectives, and project scopes.
- Assists in the development of the project deliverables, project team roles and responsibilities and ensures each engineering functional team member understands their role and deliverables.
- Manages changes in the project scope and controls cost within the approved budgets per the project “Management of Change” policy.
- Drives capital project work processes and practices as described in the Soleeva’s Project System.
- Leads / facilitates problem solving sessions throughout project life to manage schedule, budget, priorities and constraints.
- Ensures appropriate design standards and agreements with internal and external design resources are followed.
About You:
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of project management and/or estimating experience in the electric construction industry.
- Experience in project management or construction roles in the solar industry is preferred, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or related field; Certified Electrical license and work background with high voltage a Big Plus. Combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services
- Knowledgeable of NEC and relevant local codes
- Understanding of solar mechanical & electrical systems including foundations, trackers, modules, DC collection systems, inverters, transformers, SCADA systems and AC collection systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills
- Team player who can successfully work with diverse internal and external partners.
- Self-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel to project sites.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year
