Job Description
Due to an increase in orders we are looking for an experienced walking foot industrial sewing machinist to join our small family business. You should be able to follow instructions and produce the items we make in a timely manner and to a high standard.
We make screen covers for Camper Vans and Motorhomes. These are large and previous experiance of sewing large items would be an advantage.
This is a full time position working an eight hour day from 8am to 4pm with a half hour paid lunch.
We have separate sewing stations and you will have two machines to use. All of our equipment is less than three years old. We use walking foot and also binding machines, experience of these would be an advantage but training will be given.
The succesful candidate will have a good understanding of English as there will be order forms to read for information relating to the products sewn and all aspects of using a sewing machine.
Full time holiday entitlement is 28 days including bank holidays.
Due to insurance stipulations we operate a no smoking policy.
We close between Christmas and New Year.
Yearly wage review and bonus.
