This is a really great opportunity for a committed Sales Assistant, with a lot of responsibility and room to grow for someone who wants to work in both a retail store but also in our online business (within offices in Cardiff) to provide variety in their day to day role.

Sugar Box is a modern, fun retail store, selling a wide range of popular American and Worldwide candy, drinks, chocolate and snacks.
We also have a very successful online business, which operates from a small warehouse in Cardiff Bay.
The role will be split between our online operation and our retail store. When working in our retail store, you will work in a team of 10, with a maximum of 5 members of staff on shift at any one time (but usually 1-2 in the week, and more on weekends/holidays). However, you must be happy to work alone for some of your shift (which would only be for 1-3 hours at a time on an opening shift).
You must be willing to work in a fast paced environment and be able to multi-task and resolve problems quickly.
When working in our warehouse, you will usually work with one (or two during busy periods) other members of the online team, or alone, depending on the day, managing our online orders (picking, packing and sending).
We are only looking for members of staff who have the personality to work in retail and win sales.
If you have previous experience working as sales assistant, retail assistant or sales executive this could be a perfect opportunity for you!
You will have a very engaging and warm personality and your customer service skills will be second to none.
Required experience:
Retail Sales or Customer Service: 2 years
Tasks involved:
Adhere to our health and safety guidelines in both locations and ensure you work to our processes to ensure the safe and efficient operation of both sites.
You will be a real brand ambassador for the business and encouraging sales whilst on duty in the store by welcoming all customers entering the store with a friendly and warm approach while remaining calm, professional and focussed during difficult situations
Till and cash handling whilst in the retail store
Replenishing of stock in both the store and office, including delivery management (receiving the delivery and checking contents have arrived and checking for damage and out of date lines, labelling, pricing, restocking)
Housekeeping of the store and office on each shift
Assist the management team to effectively and accurately execute the operation of the businesses
Pick and pack web orders in our office neatly and efficiently, and send them using our delivery service providers in a timely and organised manner
Working alongside the website packing team to fulfil daily dispatch targets
Adhere to all H&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all staff
Maintaining correct stock levels and organisation including stock checks and counts
Organise transfers from main warehouse to our retail store alongside our retail staff, and vice versa
Maintain relevant paperwork, storage records and standards for accurate accounting of incoming deliveries
Flag up concerns or errors in paperwork from transfers or deliveries with management
Ensure there are enough packing supplies to maintain the day to day operation of the business
Be open to covering sickness and holidays as and when required
Deal with customer enquiries and any refunds professionally and effectively, converting refunds into sales opportunities where possible
