As a Workshop Manager, with HGV experience, you will be responsible for the safe, legal, and profitable operation of the workshop, accountable for delivering a safe environment that is a great place to work in and ensuring customers receive industry-leading service.

Role & Responsibilities
· Creating an environment whereby teams and individuals are self-motivated and enthused by the journey and overall strategy.
· Achieve a profitable and sustainable contribution by maximising own and collective Fleet Solutions workshop efficiency.
· Safe, legal and compliant method of work across their garage.
· Achieving the monthly productivity targets that are set (by finance) and reviewed from time to time.
· Ensure that customers’ vehicles are serviced, maintained, and repaired to agreed standards and to planned schedules.
· Build and maintain strong local customer relationships and take the network services lead for national account customers.
· Responsible for all stock control and maintenance within the garage.
· Management of employees.
Skills & Experience
· Knowledge of fleet maintenance/workshop management (retail site/contract VMU) critical
· Sound knowledge of H&S fundamentals in workshops and transport compliance legislation.
· Demonstrable customer relationship management skills with flexibility in style, approach to engaging with a number of clients with varying requirements at the same time.
· Understands how to use IT / technology to drive performance
· Ability to motivate and coach a team of technicians to deliver against productivity targets
· Able to deliver a high standard of performance maintaining focus on meeting critical timelines & targets whilst working under pressure
· Highly numerate and excellent written skills, familiar and confident with Microsoft programmes (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
