Job Description
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has led a HR team and managed HR operations in a fast-paced environment and can further embed our HRSS model into the organisation. We are looking for someone with a strong focus on continuous improvement, and an analytical data driven approach with strong, clear, and credible leadership and communication style.
This is a fantastic opportunity to really help to improve the HR shared service model. As Head of People Services, you will provide strategic leadership and high-quality advice and support to all colleagues, managers, and stakeholders, through the excellent management of HR Shared Services, ensuring the employee lifecycle is effectively automated and enhancing the colleague experience.
You will have responsibility for the effective management of the HRSS team, leading continuous improvement and modernisation initiatives for all employee lifecycle activities.
The Role:
· Undertake the day-to-day management of the HRSS team.
· Provide team training on new or changes processes and procedures.
· Manage the teams work, improvement projects ensuring the co-ordination and allocation of work, ensuring quality assurance and continuous improvement activities to agreed plans.
· Work closely with ER advisor and HRBP’s to improve how we manage HR transactions based on creating process efficiencies, feedback from colleagues.
· Develop interaction model with HRBP’s, Internal Communications and Engagement Manager and L&D manager to ensure complementary ways of working across teams.
· Identify areas of opportunity and implement solutions to centralise broader HR administration services.
· Support the team with operational employee relations matters, TUPE, and Employment Tribunals to minimise business risk.
To be successful, you will have:
· Experience in a similar role with a HRSS or HR Operations background and have experience monitoring KPIs and working to agree upon SLA’s
· Experience of identifying, implementing an embedding process improvement, encouraging others to re-think ways of doing things, continuously striving to deliver HR excellence.
· Demonstrable evidence of change management and successful delivery of HR projects across people, process, and technology
· Strong analytical capability
· Experience of working in a multi-site environment is essential
· Ideally CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum) to MCIPD level
