After being closed for over 13 months, we finally reopened our doors on 22nd of November. We are currently in the process of re-building a brand-new team. We have exciting times ahead, looking at refurbishing and rebranding the hotel from Crowne Plaza into Voco Edinburgh Royal Terrace by spring 2022. We will have to re-introduce the hotel to Edinburgh market and create an exciting new restaurant & bar concept.
General Scope and Purpose
Great restaurant memories come from many places. The sights, sounds, scents and, importantly, service. As a F&B Assistant, you’ll welcome our guests, recommend food and drink and help keep service on-track and up to standard. By tailoring each guest’s experience to their unique tastes, you’ll create memories as delightful as the dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the Restaurant is clean and that all preparation is carried out to ensure a smooth service for all guests and diners
- Anticipating customer needs wherever possible, making menu recommendations and responding to all queries, with customer satisfaction at the forefront of what you do
- Complying with legislative and safety regulations
- Supporting the achievement of quality and guest satisfaction goals
- Keeping your knowledge up to date, enabling you to make recommendations to
guests.
- A small amount of cooking at breakfast and dinner may be required.
- A split shift (working breakfast and dinner) may be required.
Essential Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications:
· Demonstrable success in a customer service position, or a passion for people and a
desire to succeed within a customer facing role
· Able to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
· Results focussed with an overwhelming desire to succeed
· A passion for the Food and Beverage industry and keeping up-to-date with trends
· Advanced IT skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
