  • Fulfilling board role and responsibilities as appropriate and informed oversight of all productions.
  • Direct management of SPT’s international Studio operations and European Co-Productions business, actively sourcing opportunities to build production for hire for US studio projects and third-party clients as well as original projects.
  • Management of SPT International Productions Operations team.
  • Establish an innovative and engaged culture within the wider Production team.
  • Lead and motivate a strong team through mentoring, coaching, feedback and learning & development opportunities.
  • Act as central point of contact for the determination of all funding models for projects, working collaboratively with colleagues in BA, Finance and Distribution.
  • Where appropriate, engaging directly with buyers on licence negotiations.
  • Actively engage in identifying talent and/or companies for acquisition or partnership in UK and Europe, in both scripted and non-scripted genres, and work in collaboration with the Corporate Development team on building investment propositions.
  • Facilitate and collaborate to create meaningful interchange between other divisions within Sony, including TVD, US Studio, Sony Non-Fiction, PlayStation, Sony Music.
  • As a member of the International Production Senior Management Team, actively involved in MRPs, annual budgeting and delivery of the division’s financial targets.
  • Foster an innovation mindset, demonstrating a willingness to take measured risks.
  • Pro-actively deputising for the President where required.

Skills and Experience

  • Senior executive - typically with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in television production, including at least 8 years in a senior management role.
  • An established network of existing relationships with UK broadcasters, creatives and industry figures.
  • Hands-on experience of working in a Production environment with demonstrable, practical involvement in funding, editorial, commissioning and other challenges and opportunities that arise within Production.
  • Proven management skills, including P&L responsibility.
