Job Description

We aim to achieve this through the building and provision of affordable and secure homes, and by supporting individuals to take control and lead independent, fulfilled lives. Whether we are developing sites or supporting people with housing, learning or living skills, we believe in equality, the importance of every individual and the right to be valued and treated with dignity and respect. Our doors are open to everyone.

Position:

We need a Night Worker to provide different levels of practical support to customers who are homeless and need our help. As a Night Worker you will carry out various tasks during your shift ranging from time spent listening to people who need to talk, doing regular welfare checks and carrying out regular inspections to ensure the health, safety and security of the building. You will be working alongside a colleague on a night shift, there is no lone working.

  • find real value in the work you do, working closely with others;
  • genuinely help customers who need a safe and secure place to live;
  • learn about trauma informed approaches, managing mental health, substance misuse and accommodation services;

Please come and work with us if:

  • you have a positive can do attitude to achieve best outcomes;
  • you want to learn and develop your understanding of ‘homelessness’;
  • you have similar ‘lived experience’ and now want to give back to others;
  • you are already a night worker but want or need a change of environment;
  • you are a student needing some direct work experience to support your learning;
  • you have completed a college course and are looking to start your career;
  • you are a volunteer or relief worker looking to step into full time permanent work

You can add real value as part of a team of professionals who build positive, trusting and respectful relationships with our customers who are preparing to move forward towards independence.

Come and join us. Please send us your application and if you meet the requirements of the role we will be able to offer you a job interview as soon as we can arrange (within the next few days).
