Job summary

The workforce element of the FGEN command Group is made up of Workforce Support Officer EO,Workforce Manager HEO and Workforce and Augmentation Team Leader SEO . The function looks after the CS and Military Manpower plot and is the approving authority for most resourcing requests.

Workforce Spt D supports the demand for manpower MI and has the authority to approve request where there is no requirement for review at a more senior level. They will be required to engage with all stakeholders on a regular basis either providing information, support or requesting input into requests for information.

They are responsible for the purchase of Civilian Reward and Recognition Thank you vouchers, reviewing requests, making recommendations and obtain G7 authority to purchase; tracking spend data .


In addition to the above there are other discrete tasks that arise due to the demands of business change and need and in the support of Command Group Resilience.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.

Job description

1. Assist SEO with Directorate resourcing.Processing, logging and tracking requests to recruit, identifying issues and raising through the appropriate chain for resolution.

2. Maintain the Workforce tracker as the single data source for all recruitment related requests across the directorate and ownership of the gapped position reports undertaking position management where required.

3.Liaise with Workforce stakeholders and gathering data when required to feed in to central requests from P&T and internal data gathering exercises.

4. Support the creation of and collate information for Workforce MI documents for 1*, 2* and 3* Boards, which includes 1* Performance Reviews and H2A and to provide admin support to the 2* Workforce Management Groups and the Business Managers meeting.

5. Support C1 Workforce with Military Manpower trawls liaising with Pers Ops.

6. Support the Command Group with FGEN training and security statistics.

7. To be the primary EPC holder for Thank you vouchers, tracking and logging spend, and providing reports when required.

8. Deputise/ Represent for Workforce C1 where appropriate.

Provide resilience across the FGEN Command Group by undertaking training and upskilling inc SCRUM/AGILE, P3M inc Risk Management and Finance.
