The purpose of Vertical Lift Supply Chain Management is to ensure effective delivery of goods and services to support the success of Vertical Lift programmes through forecasting, proposal management and contract change; component maintenance, repair, overhaul (MRO); inventory maintenance; procurement and supplier management as well as warehouse management and parts distribution.
The Role
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Vertical Lift Supply Chain team for a Supply Chain Planning Specialist on the UK AH-64E Apache Long Term Training and Support Service (LTTSS) programme ! This role will be responsible to the Material Flow Manager for the day-to-day governance of contractual tasks, KPIs and Contract Data Deliverables. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, agile thinker, able to solve complex problems with a multi-stakeholder environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordination of Bill of Materials (BoM) for associated tasks with specific focus on the burndown of orders against task milestones.
- Reconciliation of BoMs against Log IS Inventory Management Systems.
- Assist with the development of labour Basis of Estimates and be able to work with various stakeholders.
- Lead performance against key performance indicators, utilising systems and tools to generate performance dashboards.
- Utilise Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) techniques to investigate and determine solutions for any problems associated with the management of assets.
- Represent the Material Flow team at both internal and external meetings.
- Implement Supply Chain Best Practices during the completion of all assigned work and ensure that Best Practice is captured and documented.
- Develop and maintain process documents in the Quality Management System
Essential requirements:
- Advanced Microsoft Suite Skills
- The ability to obtain UK SC Clearance
- Advanced Communication Skills
- Problem solving ability
- Ability to prioritise and multi-task
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Supply Chain Management
- Demonstrated experience of the Military Supply Chain and Defence Logistic Framework.
- Experience of a collaborative team working environment.
- Proactive critical thinking
