We’re looking for an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Manager to join our Global Security team!
What you’ll do:
Provide strategic oversight, as well as, day to day EHS support to the various clean rooms, laser rooms and manufacturing labs, in collaboration with cross functional team members, continuously driving improvement in health and safety measures, instilling world class safety culture
Develop programs and standards to ensure EHS regulatory compliance (national and local) consensus standards, occupational hygiene, and industry best practices
Collaborate with lab partners, and vendors, on conducting risk assessments for equipment, materials and other product innovation, design and development projects
Participate in incident investigations for all incidents, injuries and “near misses,” partners to conduct detailed safety investigations and root cause analysis
Develop, implement, and contribute to the EHS management system and programs in support of the Snap Policy and Global Standards
Provides EHS leadership and expertise on industry standard processes for innovation projects
Contribute to the EHS training program for all employees, contractors and site visitors; ensures accurate training documentation and maintains training record files as indicated by Snap’s policy and regulatory requirements
Coordinates/conducts health and industrial hygiene monitoring, inspection and disposal activities
Participating in, leading, and consulting with EHS stakeholders such as works councils / committees
Other ad hoc duties or special projects as assigned by Global Security management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience with conducting EHS risk assessments (machine safety, environmental, etc.) based on applicable lab safety standards
Detailed experience in developing and maintaining chemical/material safety programs to support advanced technology development and manufacturing operations within a cleanroom and laboratory environment.
Proven skills to build positive relationships with key business partners within large matrixed organization
Detailed knowledge of environmental safety regulations and regional equivalents as well as other applicable global and industry environmental, health and safety standards.
Proven track record to develop all components of successful and sustainable safety programs.
Proficiency in conducting root cause investigations and emergency response programs.
Flexibility to work non-traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends to adapt to our 24/7 operation
Ability to work comfortably in a team environment, as well as individually
Strong time management and attention to detail capabilities
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master's degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial or Chemical Engineering or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years practical EHS experience at a large global company with R&D and/or manufacturing operations and world class safety programs
Laser Safety Officer Certification or have the ability to complete this certification upon hire
Ability to lift up to 20.5 lbs. to support emergency response or relocation
Preferred Qualifications:
Related professional certification (NEBOSH or equivalent certification)
EHS Auditor qualification preferred (ISO 45001 and/or 14001)
Experience in gaining ISO certifications (ISO 9001/14001 and ISO18001 as an example)
Proficiency in developing and providing EHS training
