If so, NSL are currently recruiting for an Enforcement Officer
What you will be doing…
Our Enforcement Officers play a big part in enforcing untaxed vehicles on behalf of the DVLA as well as enforcing other relevant vehicles in and around the area.
Your day starts with a briefing from your manager and making sure you’ve got everything you need for the day ahead. You’ll drive one of our specialist ANPR vehicles which identifies vehicles that meet the criteria for enforcement as you drive by. You’ll then be responsible for making sure any vehicles flagged and authorised are enforced following the correct procedure.
Key elements of the role…
Ensures all vehicles and enforcement equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose, reports all faults to the Pound Manager
Completes daily reports regarding activities, clamp loads and equipment issues
Operates an ANPR vehicle to locate untaxed vehicles on public highways, and takes action as per operating procedures
Clamps or seeks permission to remove and impound the vehicle, completes the CLE2/6 ticket via a tablet P.C. compiles a vehicle condition report and photographs the vehicle and location as further evidence
When advised by the Cashiers, will de-clamp vehicles, and take further photographic evidence.
Working with other agencies, when required including, Police, DVLA and DVSA.
Deals with enquiries from the public regarding enforcement action and ensures the relevant information packs are available
Must be flexible in their attitude to working hours, locations and must be prepared to take on other roles, temporarily, as required by the operation
Be presentable and show high levels of personal integrity and honesty
To liaise with members of the public and give advice regarding the clamp and removal procedures in a courteous manner ensuring that our customer care policy is adhered to at all times
To use and be responsible for the care and general maintenance of any company equipment allocated in order for daily tasks to be carried out
Dealing with members of the public is a big part of the role, sometimes in difficult circumstances, so you must be a great communicator.
You will be required to work 42.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with enhanced rates available for overtime at weekends and bank holidays.
What you will need…
You must enjoy dealing with people, be friendly polite, and willing to offer support, advice and assistance to colleagues and customers. PC skills would also be an advantage; however, you must have a full UK Driving Licence.
The ideal candidate…
Must have a FULL UK Driving licence
Ability to communicate with the public, often in difficult and demanding circumstances.
Previous experience in a customer service environment
Strong communication skills with good written and spoken English
Familiarity with the Vehicle and Excise Registration Act (VERA) 1994
