ABOUT THE BUSHCRAFT COMPANY:
We provide real outdoor adventures for children aged 7-18 years old from May to October. Arriving at one of our safari-style tented camps based in the grounds of Blenheim Palace, students become fully immersed in the wilderness; sleeping under the stars, and cooking over open fires. Whether they are learning first-aid techniques, building shelters or tackling an SOS scenario, our outdoor adventures are as real as you can get.
THE ROLE:
Our Logistics Assistants, known as Runners, are crucial to ensure the smooth day-to-day running and maintenance of the Estate. The responsibilities of this role will include:
- ensuring all camps are well stocked and equipped, including taking any additional items onto camp when required
- driving our off-road vehicles around the woodlands to assist with the movement of equipment and luggage
- light maintenance including routine checks of vehicles and equipment and maintaining the equipment onsite - under the guidance and working alongside your colleagues to ensure any health and safety issues onsite, relating to maintenance, are dealt with safely and efficiently.
With the support of your manager (the maintenance coordinator) you will be responsible for the overall care and maintenance of your estate.
At the beginning of the day you will meet with the rest of the team and prepare for the day ahead. You will need plenty of enthusiasm, energy and persistence but we can guarantee you will enjoy every moment!
You’ll be able to camp on Staff Camp and enjoy the great outdoors for yourself whilst building friendships that last a lifetime with your colleagues. With regular ‘Feel Good Fridays,’ staff parties and more, you really do become part of The Bushcraft Company Tribe.
