What does the role involve?
As a Senior Underwriter, you will underwrite and assess complex Ltd Company Buy-To-Let mortgages and assess associated documents.
You will assess cases with the highest level of judgment and skill, exercising an enhanced level of decision making, market knowledge and an in depth understanding of Limited companies, their structures and the risks associated with lending to protect the Society's security and ensure responsible lending.
What will you bring to the role?
- Significant demonstrable underwriting experience in Limited Company Buy-To- Let underwriting as well as standard residential and BTL products.
- In depth understanding of Limited company structures, Trading accounts, Companies house and but not limited to incorporation documents.
- Advanced Underwriting background including the ability to underwrite applications using multiple methods of affordability.
- Excellent knowledge and background in underwriting complex property types and the risks associated.
- Strong decision making with ability to rationalise decisions based on a holistic underwriting assessment and consider cases outside criteria
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure, meeting deadlines to ensure work is kept within society's set service level.
