Powder Coater / Painter
Ashford, Kent
Salary up to £27k DOE
My client is a prestigious signage company based in Kent and looking to recruit and add to their paint department, providing an excellent opportunity to join our company at a very exciting time.
Role Overview
The role will involve using various techniques that will include powder coat and wet paint spraying. The role will also include material preparation such as cleaning, grinding, dual action sanding and masking.
You should have a good mathematical understanding of fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.

Essential Duties
· Prepare parts for coating
· Following principles and practices of powder coating application
· Operation of all coating equipment guns, hoppers and water booth collection systems
· Observe machines gauges and equipment operation to detect defects
· Determine paint flow and coating quality by performing visual inspections
· Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within time limitations
· Knowledge of wash and pre-treatments
· Ensure that all components are produced/coated efficiently and are consistent with company goals for quality and customer time frames
· Monitor quality standards and processes are always met & used
· Ensure safety guidelines are met to assure a safe working environment
· Load and unload parts or products onto trolleys and racks
Equipment
· 2no 5m Baking Ovens
· 2no 4m Waterwash Paint Spray Booths
· Nordson electric/compressed air Paint Guns
· Powered Dual Action Sanders
To be considered for this role, you will come from a similar background and have experience using some, if not all, of the above equipment.
