Riverview recruitment is delighted to be working with Royal Free London (RFL) Property Services to appoint an Assistant Project Manager (APM) for their Service Transformation Team on a minimum 6-month contract. This is an exciting time for the PMO team with an abundance of new works streams valued up to £250 million across their customers redevelopment programme and this supporting role is an integral part of the transformational change that is afoot at two key client sites in Enfield and Huntingdon.
RFL Property Services (RFLPS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Free London Group and the organisations formation it has embarked on a journey of transformational change in the way estate services are delivered within the NHS.
As an Assistant Project Manager (APM) you will support a variety of projects within the programme environment(s), working autonomously on some areas and closely with the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager and the rest of the team on others. Therefore, you will need to be experienced in project management within a large change programme.
The individual will be required to work across departments and different levels of the organisation, both internally to RFLPS, as part of RFL Group and externally with clients, to inspire, design and lead projects. You will be working on a hybrid model, so some working from home as well as travel to sites in Enfield and Huntingdon.
The key party pf this role is to support and advise the Transformation function in line with governing objectives to achieve long term best value for the benefit of patients, staff, and clinical service. The post-holder will have a high level of autonomy, self-drive & motivation, the ability to be agile and move on to different projects if required.
Key responsibilities, include but are not limited to.
- Assisting Project management of required projects including developing and maintaining programme documents such as milestone plans and, risks registers. This will also include managing small projects or phases of larger projects from inception to completion, and aligning them to the short-, medium- and long-term strategies for transformation.
- Responsible for raising PO’s and managing invoices from suppliers to payment.
- Ensure systems and processes are in place with stakeholders to implement change initiatives, facilitating collaborative working across the sector.
- Support colleagues and clients to identify, design, deliver and track transformation and improvement schemes
- Provide support to stakeholders, supporting them to identify innovative ways in which to improve value.
Educated to degree level or equivalent experience and ideally holding an entry level project management qualification, the post holder must have worked within a project or change management environment.
To apply, you must have knowledge & experience of project management in the design, development and implementation of change management and be able to understand organisational change. You will have excellent communication, problem solving skills and ability to influence staff at all levels to ensure project objectives are met.
