We are now looking for a talented and motivated Accounts Assistant to support the Accounts team, in a busy, fast-paced environment.
This vacancy is a full-time, permanent position, which consists of 37.5 hours per week.

Job purpose: To assist in the day to day running of the Accounts department, to help maintain an efficient and accurate finance function within the business.
Duties include:
- Accounts email monitoring
- Weekly BACS preparation – allocation of payments in Sage/upload payments to bank & send remittances
- Produce weekly supplier self-bills
- Daily purchase ledger – uploading to Lightyear, sending out for authorisation & importing to Sage
- Bank reconciliations – across x4 companies
- Credit card – Precision Pay & commercials card (using Xero)
- POA report – ensuring all credit balances are matched off – month end
- Supplier statement reconciliations – weekly/monthly & ensuring a full ledger reconciliation quarterly
- Occasional invoicing
- Petty cash – recording/posted to Sage
- Call handling
- Franking post
- Daily bank posting/post cheques for week (ensure all items on month end bank rec are posted)
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Preferably working towards AAT (study support provided)
- At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of SAGE is essential
- Advanced IT skills, including Word and Excel
- Strong customer service skills
- Good teamwork skills
- Professionalism
- Positive attitude
