Sessional Maths Tutors
CALAT Sessional Lecturer Conditions: Band 1, Pts 3 – 8
£28.33 to £34.98 (including holiday pay) per hour
CALAT is recruiting enthusiastic and motivated sessional maths tutors to work on a range of courses. This includes the new UK-wide Multiply programme, aiming to develop and deliver, fresh, innovative, courses targeting those who are not currently engaging with maths:
- Functional Skills Maths (E3, L1 & L2)
- GCSE Maths (Foundation & higher)
- Multiply Maths Programme (Practical maths courses)* - Up to 12 hours per week when full range of courses are launched.
All applicants must be qualified in maths with a teaching or training qualification, Level 3 Award in Education & Training / Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS) or equivalent as a minimum.
CALAT is a Grade 2 provider and has been at the forefront of Adult Education in Croydon for over 70 years. We continue to deliver high quality courses with passion and dedication and a commitment to providing our learners with great facilities and support. We deliver to adults who are dedicated and motivated to learn.
Tutoring locations include Online, Central Croydon, Thornton Heath and opportunities for community based courses in other parts of the Borough of Croydon.
Our courses take place during daytimes, evenings and Saturdays allowing flexibility for tutors to work preferred timings.
Starting pay is £28.33 to 29.66 per hour (including holiday pay), depending on teaching qualification and experience. Tutors holding the equivalent to a Level 4 Certificate in Education & Training / Certificate in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or above, start at £29.66 (including holiday pay) per hour.
