Your Role and Responsibilities
You will work alongside our performance and application architects to determine the correct methods to prove the performance of the system, therefore you must have an understanding of a wide range of technologies that are used in modern enterprise IT solutions and how they can interact with each other to form an enterprise level solution. You must also have a good working knowledge of performance testing tools.
Your responsibilities will involve:

Works with the Test Architect to define the test automation framework, methods and tools to uncover performance issues.

Demonstrates technical expertise in their field focused on the technical aspects of testing performance, load, scalability / capacity, networks and infrastructure.

Responsible for examining and evaluating performance criteria and standards compliance to ensure that new and amended systems, together with any interfaces, perform as specified.

Plans and develops the test design during test specification development with focus on both the functional and non-functional requirements for testability against the technical acceptance criteria and quality metrics.

Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing performance tools, analyzing results, resolving performance related issues, including optimization and tuning.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Apply IBM PEMMx framework
- Analyze/confirm performance test automation feasibility

Design performance workload model-Generate test data
- Design Performance test scripts at application level

Develop Performance Test Plan

Execute and report performance tests at different levels-Independently resolve issues related to performance test
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Understanding of Networking concepts at all layers
- Understanding of database storage and partitioning concepts
- Understanding of the IBM Power series server architecture
- Experience of containerized solutions (Docker, OpenShift, Kubernettes etc)
- Understanding of message queuing solutions (IBMMQ, ActiveMQ etc)
- Experience of using Jira/Confluence
