Elementary School Art Teacher We are seeking a candidate for a Full-Time Elementary School Art Teacher for the 2023– 2024 academic school year for grades 2nd– 5th. The Quarry Lane School seeks to attract teachers who are experts in their field, love working with children, and who are excited to continue growth and development as educators. Position Summary To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their artistic potential. We aim to provide an Arts program with a concentration on self-expression, joy, and confidence building. In addition to teaching hands-on crafting and creative projects, this position will be responsible for tracking and displaying student work for assessments, bulletin boards and two annual art exhibitions. The curriculum used for this position is Arts Attack! Instead, the right candidate may choose to use their own curriculum or a combination of the two. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Provide appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school policies, goals, and objectives. · Assess and grade student effort, progress and achievement using the QLS grading rubric · Understand and upholds all policies and procedures outlined in the personnel, faculty, and student/parent handbook. · Implement knowledge of Art history, technique, and standards for Visual Arts with a particular focus on early childhood and “Lifelong goals” · Create a positive and meaningful class culture. · Collaborate with other VAPA and Co-Curricular teachers · Efficiently manage the students in the teacher’s classroom and maintain a high standard for classroom behavior. · Attend meetings, which includes but is not limited to weekly staff meetings after school. · Participate in school functions that include but are not limited to exhibitions, Back-to-School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and Open House. · Communicate with families through a variety of means. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Art, Art Education, Education, or related field. · Teaching Credential preferred; however, candidate should have a minimum of two years classroom teaching experience. · Mastery of a visual arts medium (such as drawing, painting, sculpting, etc.) · Passionate with a high level of personal responsibility towards goals. · Excellent Collaborative and organizational skills. · Excellent classroom management skills. · Humility, sense of humor, strong ethical base, and self-awareness. experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per hour
