about the role
Once you’re established, you will be managing your own portfolio of clients.
But don’t worry! You’re not expect to know the in’s and out’s immediately, which is why you will receive on the job training and coaching, giving you the skills you need to succeed!
Once up and running, you will be doing:

Remote meetings with clients via Teams or Zoom, who are typically main decision makers within the business, to explain the R&D tax credit scheme, how it operates and gather the qualifying technical information.

Reviewing the technical reports to submit to HMRC to justify the R&D tax credit claim on behalf of the client.

Helping clients to collate financial information to prepare their claim, as well as extracting descriptions regarding material and sub-contractor costs.

Organising and working with our internal accounts team to prepare the information provided by the client to create financial schedules.

You will be organising you own schedule, this is a home based role but you're very welcome to visit the Derby/Bolton offices once a month. More office days are always available if this is your preference.
What will you already have?
-
Knowledge to perform technical meetings is essential, in particular across multiple sectors with key decision makers.

A degree is great, but not essential.

Preferably between 1-3 years of experience in a previous R&D role, where you have been responsible for part of or the full claim process and client facing throughout.

Confident verbal communication skills and the ability to understand and reflect on technical information in order to ask probing questions in meetings.

A full UK driving license
