Are you passionate about delivering change? Are you an experienced project and programme professional with lots of real experiences of making change stick? Then we would love to hear from you!

About the role
Macmillan Cancer Support is on a journey. With a re-invigorated Corporate Change team, we are on the search for strategic leaders to help us shape and deliver change.

We are looking for Programme Managers to support our Head of Corporate Change in shaping and delivering a corporate portfolio of change initiatives that will enable Macmillan to achieve its purpose to do whatever it takes for people living with cancer.

The Programme Manager will partner with senior leaders across the charity to scope, prioritise and deliver measurable change across their business areas. They will lead a small team of project managers and assistant project managers, coaching and supporting them to deliver their projects to a high standard according to our corporate programme and project management framework.

About you
You will be an experienced Programme Manager with an industry standard qualification. You will have experience of delivering change in a large organisation, working alongside senior stakeholders to realise measurable benefits. You will be skilled in stakeholder engagement, using your negotiation and influencing skills to understand diverse perspectives and resolve conflicting requirements.

You will be an experienced people manager, using coaching and mentoring skills to stretch and develop your team to be the best they can be. You will be a diversity champion, with experience of creating an inclusive team where all are valued for their unique contribution.

About us
We are striving to do everything we can to ensure that our workforce is representative of the people we support, and those who support us. We advocate for being an inclusive organisation, where everyone can feel that they belong and where there are no barriers to success.

We welcome applications from everyone who meet the criteria and strongly encourage individuals to apply who have a disability, impairment or health condition or individuals who identify as Black, Asian or from another minority ethnic background, as these groups are currently under-represented at Macmillan. Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy here along with our internal employee representation body, ‘Our Voice’ and 8 Employee Network groups help us promote fairness and belonging, becoming an engaged and inclusive organisation for all our people.

We want to make our recruitment processes accessible to everyone, so if there is any way that we can support you to be the best you can be, please contact the Macmillan People Services Team at [email protected] for advice and recruitment adjustments.

Recruitment Process
The application deadline is Sunday 26th February virtual interviews aiming to be held w/c 6th March 2023 (but may be subject to change).

In order to ensure fairness and consistency to select the best candidate for this role, all of our applications are anonymised up until an interview has been confirmed so that shortlisting is based solely upon the suitability of the candidate’s experience.

Please submit your application as soon as possible as we reserve the right to change the closing date of our vacancies.
