Job Description
The NDT Supervisor role provides primary support to the NDT Business Manager in the management, control and scheduling of one or more project contracts for the operation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure projects are carried out to the highest of standards and in compliance with the company's quality system.
- Support in selecting, trade testing and managing resources and assigning responsibilities.
- Advise best practice approaches, prepare RAMS and compile inspection methodologies.
- Oversee inspection projects on-site using conventional NDT technology and inspection solutions.
- Manage and report on day-to-day operational aspects of the projects.
- Ensure all project related documents are maintained and kept current.
- Ensure all inspection data collected is accurate, concise and correctly referenced.
- Manage inspection data and review inspection reports.
- Assume responsibility for all conventional NDT equipment
- Work closely with the Mistras technical support team and act as the client contact for allocated projects and to ensure all actions are identified and undertaken on time, efficiently and effectively.
- Work closely with other Project teams based in and around the UK
- Maintain and develop technical knowledge of equipment and its operation.
- Highlights issues early to the NDT Business Manager
- Mentor, guide and develop trainee NDT technicians including managing training requirements as appropriate
Your Profile and Previous Experience
- Experience in either Oil and Gas, manufacturing and the infrastructure Sectors
- Extensive experience in coordinating, delivering and supervising NDT activities
- PCN qualified in multiple NDT techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft office packages
- Logical and structured planning and organisation skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Dynamic, self-motivated outgoing personality who is comfortable juggling priorities and mucking in with the team.
- Resilient and positive, able to deal with the requirements of an evolving organisation
- Able to work flexibly when required
- Clean, Valid Driving licence
