Senior Property Delivery Surveyor


Flexible – covering the South West


£38,667 - £40,703 per year plus company car


35 hours per week


We pay up to £500 welcome bonus when you join Sanctuary and up to £500 per year thereafter retention bonus


We have an opportunity for a Senior Property Delivery Surveyor to join our Asset Delivery team, based in the South West. As a Senior Property Delivery Surveyor, you will manage a small team of surveyors covering repairs/works to our properties and manage and monitor the performance of contractors who are working for us. You will also conduct surveys and prepare scopes of works to be carried out. The role covers both responsive maintenance and planned asset improvement programmes.


The role of Senior Property Delivery Surveyor will include:

  • Manage contractors in accordance with their contractual terms, making recommendations for improvements and implementing actions as appropriate
  • Ensure investment works are compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements and make appropriate recommendations on changes that may need to be made mid-project
  • Support the delivery of a cost effective maintenance service by operating within appropriate financial policies, procedures and financial limits/budgets
  • Manage and monitor contractor invoicing and quotations to ensure that the business is always receiving value for money
  • Maintain appropriate documentation for work specifications and tenders and provide accurate and timely information for management reports

Skills and experiences:

  • Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification (a surveying or building maintenance qualification preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of building work processes and experience of similar
  • Proven experience in a building and/or quantity surveying environment
  • Experience of contractor management and delivering services within budget
  • Operating within a performance focused environment, delivering key performance
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills
  • Proficient user of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
