About the Job
We are looking for the right candidate to join our busy team on a permanent full time basis.
An exciting opportunity for the right applicant, to be part of a dedicated team assisting with the delivering the Councils Housing Strategy, the successful candidate will be part of a small team tasked with negotiating the purchase of properties identified for regeneration and also the purchase of ex-local authority properties to increase housing stock.
The role requires team members to manage their own portfolio of properties, seeing the process through from negotiations through to completion.
As well as purchasing properties, we are also tasked with selling Shared Ownership properties, a low cost housing option to help residents in the borough, on to the housing ladder. This part of the role requires the team to successfully market developments through various media platforms, process applicants against criteria, undertaking the process from the initial enquiry through to completion and handover of property.
The role requires the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively, with excellent communication skills, as there can be times where you will be required to work under pressure to ensure targets are met and must be prepared to assist other team members when needed.
Due to the nature of the work, the successful applicant will need to ensure diligent record keeping, have good knowledge of Microsoft office programmes.
About You
- Ideally experience in a similar role.
- An understanding of good customer care and confidentiality.
- Able to work within a team and be able to use your own initiative.
- A working knowledge of standard office based software, for example Word and Excel.
- Well organised and able to cope with many competing demands within target.
