We have another exciting opportunity for individuals wanting to join our team of Residential Support Workers in our 16+ Supported Living Service in Whalley Range and surrounding areas.
We are looking for committed, motivated and energetic candidates who have a passion and ambition to support young people aged 16 to 19, who are transitioning from residential or foster care, present as homeless or are unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
As a Bank Residential Support Worker/Keyworker your role will be to work alongside young people, actively promoting independence and preparing them to transition into adulthood.
You will be providing emotional, practical, and social guidance and support to equip young people to build resilience and overcome barriers whilst providing a safe, supportive, person-centred homely environment for young people to flourish.
Working on a multiagency basis and in partnership with internal and external professionals to ensure young people are given the correct wrap around support and are treated equally, as individuals, and without discrimination.
You will be confident on Microsoft Word, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be resilient and committed to the role, and most importantly you will conduct yourself as a positive role model for young people and colleagues.

As a Bank Residential Support Worker, you will be required to:
- Being aware of each young person’s support plan and their responsibilities for its implementation.
- Attending Child Looked After reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best the outcomes for young people.
- Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model.
- Engaging young people in keyworking and activities.
- Maintaining accurate written records in logs, engagement reports and case files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place.
- Effectively preparing and cooking group meals with the young people.
- Ensuring the housekeeping levels in the home are of a high standard.
- Working at all times to safeguard the young people we support.
- Having a resilient approach, positive demeanour, attitude and body language.
- Being aware of the aims and objectives of the Statement of Purpose and working collaboratively in line with this.
- Attending team/staff meetings and making a positive contribution to them.
- Being willing to give and receive feedback on performance with colleagues and managers through regular supervision.
- Being familiar with all policies and procedures and adhering to them.
Experience & Qualifications
- Level 3/4 in Health & Social Care. (Desired)
- Minimum of 1 years’ relevant experience. (Desired)
- Hold a valid Driving licence and access to own vehicle. (Desired)
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years of age. (Required)
- DBS on Update System. (Desired)
- Willing & able to do Sleep In shifts (Required)
