Role
To support the delivery of the Chemist Direct strategy, exceeding budgeted sales, profit and marketing income targets in the Lifestyle Category and Pharmacy2U.
Responsibilities
- Assist SCM in selecting, pricing and positioning of category products.
- Support the Lifestyle categories product content, pricing and promotional lifecycle ensuring the product detail, pricing, systems, images, supplier promotional submissions to agreed policies, standards and timelines.
- Support the SCM in managing, nurturing and developing supplier relationships
- Work with Marketing and Content teams to ensure online content is accurate and optimised.
- Assist SCM in working with suppliers and Supply Chain to maximise Inbound (supplier) & Outbound (customer availability) to agreed targets including stock holding targets.
- Supporting the Senior Category Manager and Head of Category as required.
- Ensuring that the workplace remains fun, relaxed and friendly.
Skills
- Demonstrably Customer Focussed and willingness to learn
- Highly analytical and numerate with the ability to convert analysis and identify business benefits
- Microsoft Office proficient - Ability to use Excel at intermediate level (Vlookups, Pivots, calculations, sort and filter etc)
- Commercially astute with a keen eye for product with impeccable attention to detail
- Self-starter and able to demonstrate drive, initiative and proactivity
- Ability to prioritise and organise tasks and workload
- Ability to work with others as part of a team with strong communication skills (verbal and written) and effectively manage stakeholders
- Ability to influence others effectively, managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Hands on Problem Solver – demonstrating flexibility and tenacity – “thinking on your feet”
- Awareness of Buying / Category Management / E Commerce operations desirable but not essential
- Experience of working in a highly complex, dynamic and pressured environment, delivering targets to tight deadlines
- Appreciation of working within company with ethical rules and regulations
- Experience of managing highly complex dynamic FMCG supply chain
- Experience of e-commerce desirable but not essential
- Experience in Influencing / Negotiating desirable
- Experience of creating , developing and maintaining relationships
