BUSINESS OVERVIEW
At Sony UK Technology Centre (UK TEC) we have over 500 highly skilled Team Players, who
help create some of the most advanced technology on the global market. Alongside producing
the latest in broadcast technology, our world-class engineers work on multiple third-party
manufacturing products. This collaborative approach to contract manufacturing has produced
many commercial successes over the years, including the best-selling British computer of all
time, the Raspberry Pi. We also work to pioneer the latest ground-breaking manufacturing
processes of the future through the Advanced Manufacturing Research Operations Centre.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
People say that Sony UK Technology Centre is South Wales’ best kept secret. In the marketing team here at the Pencoed facility it has become our mission to change that. We strive to show the local community the exciting world of 21st century manufacturing and technological advancement which happens right here in South Wales. In addition, it is our challenge and responsibility to drive the growth and success of our business by attracting new business opportunities through a variety of marketing activities. Finally, through a variety of creative channels we create content to celebrate our successes as a team internally. The marketing assistant will play a key part in achieving our mission and turning the business objectives into reality
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content marketing activities: Collaborating with various members across the business to produce written content for the site internal and external communication purposes (including a weekly newsletter, blogs, website content, social media copy, etc.)
- Visual Content creation: create artwork for our various communication channels, including newsletters, digital & printed signage, social media, etc. using resources such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva or similar
- Assisting the team members with marketing projects and activities as required
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Essential:
- Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Copy writing
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or similar software experience
- Excellent telephone and written correspondence manners
- Excellent command of the English language
- Someone who takes the initiative and is driven to deliver high quality results
- Experience or qualifications in the field of marketing communications are not essential but will be an advantage
