Our Kier Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) provides a high-quality service to our customers and is an exciting and engaging organisation to work for. We’re currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to provide support to the Record to Report (RTR) team and assist with all aspects of the financial accounting and all related financial matters.


Location: Salford, Manchester with flexible agile working

Contract: Permanent, full-time – flexible and part-time hours will be considered


Responsibilities


In this exciting Assistant Accountant Role, you’ll oversee preparing balance sheet account reconciliations and maintenance and preparing and posting of journals (Oracle). You’ll ensure all management information is reported in a timely and accurate manner, whilst maintaining clear and precise records to ensure an adequate audit trail and communicating with all Kier entities, within the Finance Shared Service Centre (FSSC) and Business Units. You'll also support the business by assisting with ad-hoc queries and investigative work.


Who are we looking for?


You'll have good attention to detail and working towards your accounting qualifications with previous experience with month-end accounts, balance sheets and reconciliations. You'll also have good knowledge of the core financial systems and general accounting procedures, and able to adapt to changing objectives and priorities to deliver effective results.
