Job Title: Holiday Park Ranger (Live in Role)
Main Purpose of Job: We are looking for two people (shared accommodation) to join the Holgates team. You will impress guests by doing your part in keeping a 5-star holiday park in immaculate condition and making them want to come back for more.
Hours: Full Time including evenings, weekends, early and late shifts with rostered on calls at night. This is a full-time permanent role.
Location: LA5 Carnforth area.
Pay: Competitive salary and additional benefits include free gym and pool membership and 50% discount off food in our restaurant.
Job Overview:
Ranger definition - A person responsible for the supervision of a particular place or activity and for enforcing the regulations associated with it.
We would need one of you to maintain the exceptionally high standards of the park grounds and infrastructure and welcome guests to a park they are proud of, leaving a lasting positive memory. The other we would need to join the housekeeping team as well welcoming guests on site.
Main Tasks of Job Include:
The ground and maintenance work is highly varied. Beside the daily routine, there will be a multitude of other jobs. You are expected to find these jobs and undertake them to an excellent standard, on your own initiative. This could be repairs to anything on the park, decorating, delivering gas bottles, strimming and mowing grass, cutting hedges the jobs will keep you busy, with never a dull moment.
The housekeeping role will include cleaning our holiday accommodation to the highest of standards, along with helping the team out with building cleans including the offices, public toilets, reception, café and bar, bowling alley and soft play areas, it
Both of you will need to welcome guests, be on call and help with the hire accommodation. You will be one of the first points of contact for guests and first impressions really do count. With your continued help throughout guests stays, they will leave with a great impression, wanting more!
Requirements
Customer service at the next level. Guests should be saying WOW from the moment they arrive to the moment the leave, and beyond. You must leave a great lasting impression, prompting that return booking.
Managing your own time, using your initiative to its full potential and being proactive is vital to make this role work.
Super flexibility is key. You need to be prepared to drop everything, go and fix a leek, then check guests in, customers may have problems with their electrics you will need to help with before returning to your original job.
You will have an awesome eye for detail, spotting things guests would never notice, but that contribute to the high standards of the park.
This role requires energy in abundance, it is physically demanding and you’re on your feet all day. Who needs a gym membership? If you have any energy left, you do actually get free gym membership, with use of our 2 pools, how’s that for a perk?

It goes without saying that you should be presentable, punctual and willing to learn.
For the grounds and maintenance work we need you to be very practical – you need to be proficient at DIY or a trade is essential, basic machine maintenance knowledge is an advantage. Experience driving tractors and mowers preferred.
Qualifications:
No formal qualifications required, but a trade and/or previous experience in facilities management, cleaning or grounds keeping would be advantageous.
Full clean Driving license.
