Job Description
Doggy Daycare Chauffeur and Play Group Leader– AKA- Rascal Wrangler!
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Pet Care Professional to join our team and provide top-notch care for our clients' pups.
COMPENSATION, SCHEDULE & LOCATION
- Pay: $20-23 per hour based on experience and skillset.
- Ideal schedule: Monday-Friday from 8am-5:30pm – shifts go 6.5 - 8 hours on average- with some variability.
- No crazy early mornings, nights, weekends or holidays!
- Your workday starts/ends in San Carlos. You’ll start your shift by picking up pups, followed by a drive out to Rascal Ranch in Half Moon Bay for outdoor play. You’ll then drop off your pups at their homes and return the car to the Peninsula.
We are a different breed - and better. Traditional doggy daycares are loud, concrete-floor warehouses that group random dogs together. Our private “Rascal Ranch” is a 5 acre doggy utopia with agility courses and playgrounds where pups can run, roam or just relax. We provide a positive socialization environment and help Rascals be better k-9 citizens out in the community.
Don’t just take our word for our commitment to quality care- check out our all 5-star ratings on Yelp, Google and Facebook!
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Your job is to ensure that the pups are comfortable, safe and loved during transport. Punctuality, focus and reliability are a MUST. Wranglers are also responsible for keeping the company van tidy and dog safe. This includes proper storage of personal items. Use or storage of tobacco products are prohibited from any company van.

You will be responsible for maintaining excellent communication, including providing updates and answering any questions they may have. You will be responsible for ensuring that their homes are left secure, including locking doors and windows as necessary. This role requires attention to detail and respect for privacy.
- Overseeing Play at Rascal Ranch: This active role includes monitoring for unsafe behavior, teaching basic doggy manners, engaging the pups through exercise and exploration… and of course, giving them lots of loving attention. You must ensure that your pack gets plenty of activity, stimulation and interaction.
- Playtime Photographer:You will snap away while the pups go wild during Ranch Play! All Rascal Wranglers upload their daily photos after their shift. We share playtime photos with pet parents daily.
- Team Player: While every Wrangler has their own driving route, all Wranglers work together during playtime to ensure every pup has their best day, everyday. We also communicate with each other throughout the day via Slack. We share fun photos and even grab dinner sometimes. We are a small team and we support each other by showing up on time and ready to work. Attendance and punctuality are crucial to the harmony of our close knit team. Flakes need not apply!
