The scope of this opportunity is massive given the rate of growth of C&I solar, and the potential financial and sustainability impact it has on corporate energy procurement. Build out a finance organization and core capability that plays an integral part in project financing, fundraising, and product pricing. This will be a core capability within our product that accelerates how real estate investor-partners deploy commercial clean energy projects across their portfolios. You will work with both commercial real estate and funding partners to secure and deploy capital projects, owning financial models that provide attractive returns. This will require you to develop and maintain robust financial models in connection with capital investments, project development, and project financing (especially in the early days as the team is forming.) Foster a culture of scrappiness, strategic ownership, and cross-functional collaboration as that is critical to our success.
We now have a significant pipeline of onsite C&I solar at various stages, including some that will shortly enter the construction phase. So you will be hitting the ground running and leading financing efforts & strategy to secure £50M+ in project funding (debt, equity, tax equity) in service of our first 100MW worth of solar plants.

We are looking for someone that has 5+ years of relevant energy finance experience with a preference for solar. Having previously raised asset-backed debt financing in renewable energy for early-stage startups is a major plus.
One main ingredient is the hunger and willingness to get your hands dirty with the details (i.e. Excel modelling) but also thrive at a strategic level. You are a highly analytical thinker with excellent strategic planning and financial modelling skills. You know how to evaluate business opportunities and model their contribution to a business’s financial performance.
You must be comfortable with working in ambiguity and have a passion for crafting structure in places where it doesn't yet exist. With a "the buck stops here" mentality and a willingness to walk through walls to make your vision a reality. Having a bias for quantifiable results versus activity, and willingness to hold yourself & others accountable for delivering results. We need Contrarians!
