Job Description
While a love of pets ranks among the top qualities needed to be successful as a pet carer and dog walker, additional skills are necessary. Dealing with clients requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to empathise with pet owners is essential. The job also requires high attention to detail and patience when dealing with pets. In addition, pet carers must be able to meet the physical demands of the position, such as walking and lifting.We are looking for someone fun, enthusiastic and dedicated to join our team and grow with us as our business expands and grows.
Some of your duties will include:
- Take instructions for walking, feeding and exercise programs and ensure that they are carried out.
- Pick up dogs from their homes and drop off after walks are complete
- Note and execute any special instructions or limitations that pet owners provide
- Engage dogs in physical activities such as play and exercise and part of the dogs activity plan
- Ensure that any waste on the road or pavement is cleaned immediately
- Maintain leadership and control when walking more than one dog at a time
- Ensure pets’ physical safety at all times and make sure that they do not endanger any other animal or human in the vicinity
- Provide pets with food and water by following schedule that owners have put in place
•Take photographs and make videos of pets on a periodical basis for uploading to social media.
As work includes holiday cover, workload can fluctuate and income will not be guaranteed, periods of higher or lower earnings may arise.The successful candidate will be working within the Runcorn area.
A Full Driving License and your own transport is essential.
Assess to a smartphone or internet is required as you will be required to post updates and photographs of your walks on our online portal.
This is a contracted role based on your self employment contacted to Creature Comforts Cheshire LLP; full support and assistance setting up as self employed, expenses management and accountancy recommendation will be given.
Full training & insurance will be provided, along with a staff equipment pack and uniform.

Salary: £7,500.00-£10,000.00 per year
