Batch'd is a high-end multi-city dessert bakery which operates throughout the UK. Batch’d work with various bakeries across the country; each bakery specialises in different products, enabling Batch’d to have a considerable range that surpasses our competitors. We are proud to sell high-quality, aeshetically pleasing and most importantly tasty products.
The majority of Batch'd outlets are kiosks in shopping centres and train stations, we also have a variety of shops within the business.
Batch’d is a Leeds business, with the head office being based just outside the city centre. Candidates who apply will on occasion have to come to Leeds for progress meetings.
Job Description:
As an Operations Supervisor, you will be an important part of our management team, overseeing key decisions which will directly impact the smooth running of Batch’d. Your responsibilities will include the upkeep of standards across all facets of the Batch’d brand.
You will have direct responsibility to ensure all new recruits are thoroughly trained in Batch'd best practices. Food hygiene standards and creating an environment where the kiosks are presentable and well organised is also a key to components to the job. The role will also entail undertaking appraisals for our retail assistants and talent spotting for other areas within the business.
Success in the job will be measured on your ability to analyse and improve our processes, as well as creating a quality and efficient environment for our retail assistants to work effectively.
The job will require travel throughout kiosks in the Midlands and the South of England, namely; Birmingham, Leicester, Milton Keynes and Nottingham. Within this role you will be expected to travel frequently to these cities to help the businesses operations.
On a day-to-day basis, you will assist with setting up and managing the shops, following and implementing established guidelines & procedures, and operating our EPOS system to ensure stock is accurate. You will also be expected to communicate with staff on your phone throughout the day to address short-, medium- and long-term issues which arise.
As an operations supervisor, you will help manage operational decisions in the Midlands England for the Batch’d brand, particularly supervising and directing the workforce and making staffing decisions to ensure customer satisfaction and product quality are maintained.
Responsibilities and duties

- Daily task sheets

- Ensuring a 5* Food safety standard
- Liaising with head office to ensure all kiosks have appropriate equipment such as cleaning products to ensure staff can do their job properly
- Make sure the appearance of the kiosk is in-line with predetermined criteria set by head office.
- Carry out three-month appraisals with all staff under your remit
- Contribute to our hiring process and inform head office about any staff not upholding the Batch’d brand.
- Be on the ground across all sites to ensure standards are being upheld.
- Training new staff members who join the company.

Requirements:

This job does not require any previous experience, training will be provided to understand the job in its entirety. A successful candidate will be chosen on their ability to follow Batch'd core competencies.
