Position Summary
We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Social Media & Community Manager to join our social media team based at our Gatwick office. Reporting directly to the Senior Social Media Manager, you will have the scope to be the voice of the world’s largest food & drink manufacturer, with some of the worlds most loved Infant Nutrition brands, think SMA, Little Steps, Cerelac and more! You’d be working in our amazing team that’s always looking to drive best in class strategy, content & engagement when it comes to all things social.
A day in the life of a Social Media & Community Manager...
Ultimately, you will be responsible for managing and growing our SMA social media community, across multiple platforms, supporting our overall business objectives. You will support in shaping our social strategy & direction, developing and delivering engaging social campaigns and content through our in-house teams and driving world class community engagement to enhance our brand presence.
Key responsibilities of this role will include:
- Deliver engaging social content that drives Nestlé social media equity and positive share of voice, leveraging consumer engagement opportunities online.
- Support and execute the social community strategy and direction, informed by the business objectives and insight, working closely with the wider Social Media teams, Consumer Engagement Services (CES) team, Brand teams, Digital & eCommerce.
- Understand the changing consumer landscape and champion the social consumer, providing insights, recommendations and thought leadership to the wider business.
- Present confidently to stakeholders across the business.
- Serve as the social voice for our SMA brand, collaborating with brand teams and creative agencies to develop great paid and organic campaigns in line with our Regulatory and Legal teams that really add value.
- Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest and more! Responding and engaging with consumers and fans, working with Careline support and internal stakeholders to execute flawlessly.
- Identify and react in a timely nature to tactical & trending opportunities.
- Support the proactive management of observed emerging issues, working closely with our Corporate Communications and Careline support teams to drive, shape and protect our brands and reputation.
- Collaborate cross functionally with internal and external stakeholders to determine the most impactful content, including working closely with our in-house Content Studio Team to brief paid and organic social content.
- Report on monthly social performance to track and share key KPIs.
- Use data & insights to inform strategy.
- Develop thorough social listening reports that deliver actionable insights for brand teams.
- Manage and lead the growth of our social community and drive sign-ups for SMA Baby Club using in-house tools for a seamless end to end process.
What will make you successful
We are looking for somebody with a flair for Social, constantly looking to push our brands to innovate and change the way we behave on Social Media whilst understanding the complex environment that our SMA brand operates in. You will ideally be qualified to degree level and have some previous social experience either in-house or within an agency. You will be passionate about babies and children and be keen to bring this to life across our Social Media channels. You’ll be constantly thinking of ways to innovate with content through great creative ideas. You’ll also:
- Be passionate about creating engaging content that delivers for our brands and disrupts the Infant Nutrition space on Social.
- Experience of managing social communities for brands working across a wide range of social media platforms.
- Have experience of having worked with babies and/or children in some form or other.
- Have experience managing influencers and creating long-lasting meaningful relationships.
- Have experience with paid social media and boosting.
- Be familiar with trending content to understand how Nestlé can be involved whilst maintaining relevance to our audience & tone of voice.
- Have a proven track record of engaging with consumers including copy writing.
- A pro-active, enthusiastic approach as well as excellent communication skills.
- The ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects with fast-moving deadlines.

Coupled with this you will thrive in an environment that is often ambiguous, understanding how to navigate yourself and stakeholders to positive solutions.
