Position Summary
The Director of Sales provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. Responsible for the development and performance of all first mortgage sales activities through credit union partnerships and external sales staff. Responsible for the selection and hiring, training and development and performance management of all Mortgage Loan Consultants. Communicates regularly with senior management to ensure overall operational efficiencies. Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals, builders/developers and other potential referral sources. Provides coaching and guidance in loan production and financing. Keeps up to date on regulations/industry changes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy for developing relationships with partnering credit union in specific identified markets that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
- Develop business plans by individual/and or by team to ensure sustainable growth for each individual through up and down markets and monitor and report progress to senior management.
- Work closely with Credit Union management in developing, implementing and monitoring programs to achieve greater penetration of the Credit Union's customer/member base, and increased “cross-sell” of Credit Union products and services to mortgage borrowers.
- Work closely with the Credit Union Marketing Department to establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base.
- Assist sales team to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs.
- Provide timely feedback to senior management regarding sales performance.
- Position may require some travel. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. degree in related field.
- Five years to eight years related experience.
- Sound knowledge and experience with first and second mortgage residential real estate lending.
- The ability to motivate or influence inside or outside senior level personnel is a critical part of the job, requiring a significant level of influence and trust. Obtaining cooperation and agreement on important outcomes via frequent material presentations and a professional level of written communication skills are essential to the position.
- Excellent customer service skills with the availability to assist members on evenings and weekends.
- Must be NMLS and MLO licensed.

The range provided below is the average salary range that a Director of Sales who is meeting production standards may expect to earn. Production standards are based on $200M a year in new loan originations.
- Salary Range: $135,000.00 to $160,000.00
