Job Description
Application deadline: March 19th 11:59pm
Interview date: March 27th
Start date: April 24th at the latest (opportunity to start beginning of April)
Community Operations C.I.C, in association with ACORN, is looking for two administrative assistants (1x Bristol, 1x Sheffield or Leeds) to join our fight against economic injustice. ACORN is building power in working class neighbourhoods all over the country, door by door and street by street. We are looking for two highly motivated people to join our operations department and provide logistical and secretarial support to our members and management team. More than anything we are looking for people who are passionate about winning for our communities.
The pay is £19,838 for 35 hours per week. The roles are 1 year fixed term contracts with the view to be extended. Community Operations C.I.C offers a competitive benefits package including; generous holiday allowance (28 days + bank holidays), flexi-time policy is available (meaning you can customise some hours to fit your personal life), and we have a specialised wellbeing programme as we believe a work/life balance is important (access to digital mental health support, as well as an annual £100 wellbeing bonus).
These are ideal entry-level roles for anyone interested in fighting for a better deal for ordinary people. No formal qualifications are necessary and no prior experience required. These roles are perfect for anyone interested in developing their skills at one of the fastest growing unions in England and Wales. The staff team is friendly and you would be supported to thrive in your role, with an excellent programme of development opportunities and the potential to expand your responsibilities as the organisation grows. In many ways both roles would be the beating hearts of the organisation, working together to ensure communication and coordination between the various departments.
