We now have an exciting and very much rewarding vacancy available for the role of Team Lead Nurse to lead and support our Hospice at Home Team based in Cambridge.
As our Team Lead Nurse you will:
- lead, manage and develop the Arthur Rank Hospice at Home service across South Cambridgeshire
- work as a clinical expert (and to work as an independent non-medical prescriber for the Hospice at Home Team, ensuring timely access to prescribed medication in the management of complex symptoms if qualified to do so).
- ensure effective rostering of staff in order to maintain a safe and responsive Hospice at Home service across Cambridgeshire
- act as an expert senior nurse both for the Hospice at Home team and when needed, the wider hospice service.
- work closely with the Hospice at Home Matron/ Clinical Services Director in evaluating the service and establishing new ways of working to drive productivity and maintain high quality care
- provide clinical expertise in teaching both informally and for formal teaching sessions
- support and develop palliative care in all settings by contributing to the education and training of health, social care staff and others.
An ideal candidate has/is:
- Registered General Nurse First level degree in related subject
- Post graduate qualification or equivalent experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Relevant post registration experience
- Operational experience in delivery of specialist palliative care.
- Extensive experience of teaching and education and supporting staff
- Experience of multi-professional working
- Ability to lead and influence change
- Full clean UK driving licence and access to own car
