£34,723 - £37,261 per annum (plus 4% management allowance)

We are changing the way our Finance Department works so that we can achieve the very best for our colleagues, customers and communities and we are looking for a Finance Officer to help us achieve our ambitions. This is a new role within the department and it’s an exciting opportunity to shape our future and your own career. You will join a supportive team that has a collaborative ethos and clear direction.
Your role
You will be responsible for the management of the Fire Authority’s Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions with a focus on continuous improvement to ensure all Finance systems and processes are customer focused, compliant, streamlined and fit for purpose.
What you will need
This is a post you can apply for if you have a background in public sector financial services and proven experience of managing, developing and motivating staff. To be successful in the role you will require the ability to adhere to strict deadlines and a commitment to providing accurate and reliable management information and excellent customer service at all times.

Our flexible working arrangements include hybrid working.
