The Opportunity
We are looking to give the successful candidate the opportunity to join an established company that has been operating for over 100 years. We have achieved very natural growth over the last 3 years and are now looking to continue that growth in the Yorkshire area while looking for people to join us on this journey.
The Role
Taking responsibility for the administration of the Seed department, this position would suit someone who has had a background in either agriculture or high-volume/quantity products. You will be liaising with various departments across the business along with suppliers and buyers throughout the UK ensuring the correct information is obtained for the relevant department.
Further to the above you will be responsible for:
Administering seed orders and processing paperwork relating to goods received and despatched
Assisting with seed deliveries
Maintaining standards necessary to ensure compliance with DEFRA regulations
Providing support for seed management, working within the seeds team to maximise sales contribution
Building and maintaining good working relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues
Crop Inspecting Cereals & Pulses, or be willing to undertake training
Preparing reports for management
Our Ideal Candidate
At this stage in your career you will either have a passion for agriculture and administration/back office support or you will have had experience in dealing with a multitude of high volume products and be keen to embed your admin/office experience within an award winning business who develops and recognises colleagues for their hard work. You will also have:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft and Excel
The ability to deliver in a demanding seasonal working environment
Strong organisational and time-management skills
A flexible and positive approach
