The Role:
To lead their bakery site in driving product quality and consistency through robust process control and the application of baking skills. To monitor conformance to the agreed process control points highlighting and addressing non-conformances within their control and working with the central process improvement team in the development and implementation of targeted improvement plans to continually improve product quality and consistency, including improvements in plant equipment, baking process/control and people capability. The functional expert within their site for the baking process.
To drive bakery process and recipe control to enable Hovis to deliver on its vision of delivering the best quality product every day, enabling growth in a sustainable way and creating superior value for its stakeholders.

Ideal Experiences / Qualifications / Capabilities:
Essential:

A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a technical, operational or quality related role in industrial baking.

Experience of managing, motivating and influencing teams.

Commercial awareness: understanding cost of quality and manufacture. Understanding cost / benefit analysis.

Excellent communication skills: Influential: Persuasive: Impactful verbal and written skills.

Proven training and coaching capability.
