Job Description

Sci-Tech, part of Cawood Scientific, delivers quality microbiological testing services to the veterinary diagnostic sector and associated businesses throughout the livestock sector. Our UKAS accredited services, performed by our highly skilled teams, cover all aspects of poultry production, including bird production, routine hatchery, and hygiene monitoring. We work closely with vets and farmers to develop new analytical solutions to meet market changes and according to individual requirements, ensuring services are confidential, accurate, and timely. With no minimum charge and full traceability, our analysis services for vets and farmers are second to none.

Sci-Tech have the opportunity for a Sample Registration Assistant to join their team on a, permanent basis based in Craven Arms. This role is to cover Monday to Friday, with 1 Saturday a month worked on rotation. The hours for this role are 0900-1600.

Responsibilities:

· The registration of samples in an accurate and timely manner including liaising with customers for sample or testing queries.

· To assist with creating worksheets for samples which have been booked in for testing and for putting them into the correct department before finishing at the end of the working day.

· To be responsible for consumable requests from customers, to be sent out the same day when required.

· To be responsible for ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained and areas are clean and organised

· To deal with the management and direction of enquiries from both existing and potential customers.

· To assist with answering of phone calls.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

· Must be able to work effectively and collaborate within own team and other sections.

· Must take initiative and have the ability to conduct hands-on work.

· Strong communication skills

· Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks with high attention to detail.

· Highly organised and excellent time management skills.

· Excellent team player with the ability to work alone.

· Ability to display efficiency when working with high-volume turnover of work in a busy environment
