Stonehouse Technology Centre (SHTC) is the SLB drilling Centre of Excellence. It supports SLB through innovative engineering and quality-driven manufacturing, with portfolio emphasis on rotary steerable systems, Measurement While Drilling tools, Specialised Measurement tools and Rechargeable Batteries for Downhole use, and power source products.
Over 300 employees work in SHTC's modern, fit-for-purpose building in scenic Gloucestershire. The facility was constructed to handle future demand for PowerDrive tools with an efficient workflow that ensures assembled tools are extensively and rigorously tested before delivery. On site, tools can be monitored using state of-the-art hardware and connectivity that link SHTC to all field locations.
SHTC continues Research & Development investment for new technologies, extending operational limits so that clients can reach hotter, deeper reserves.
Job Summary:
The Materials Handler is responsible to execute product and material handling and movement within the warehouse in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. They inspect and accept incoming shipments against supplier packing lists, ensuring items have been received in a satisfactory state. They complete material fulfillment upon stakeholder request.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
These responsibilities are activities that correspond to the metro stops and key processes:
- Manage Goods Issuance
- Manage Goods Picking
- Manage Goods Packing
- Manage Goods Reception
- Perform Inventory Count
Additional Responsibilities:
- Comply with applicable company policies including, but not limited to, personnel and QHSE.
- Perform inspecting, labelling, receiving, storing, picking, packing, issuing, disposal and cycle counting of inventory items.
- Accept supplier deliveries, checking that actual item received are in suitable condition and match the packing list and/or purchase order and report discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Issue and transfer parts for production orders , sales orders and sale order kits
- Ensure outgoing inventory items to SO /WO are suitably packed and issued with correct and complete documentation.
- Improve efficiency and safety by optimizing warehouse bin locations.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the warehouse and shipping/receiving areas.
- Perform inventory cycle counting and support periodic physical counts.
- Perform tasks associated with Kitting and Kanban point-of-use replenishment and other materials management initiatives as directed by the Supervisor.
- Investigate and resolve local inventory and warehouse issues as requested by the Supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards.
- Able to operate a 7.5 Ton lorry for moving items between buildings
- Able to operate Forklift or other material handling equipment for movement of goods within the warehouse ( Combi – Reach – Counterbalance as a min)
Experience:
- Warehouse experience
- Pick/Pack goods
- SAP experience would be an advantage
- Driven personality
