At The Grazing Shed we’re passionate about making quality burgers, providing friendly customer service, and encouraging others to be Super Tidy people. We’ve been making our Super Tidy burgers from award winning Welsh meat since 2013, and we’re proud champions of quality, local produce, served fast! As well as preparing everything fresh in-house, we operate a pioneering production method which allows us to produce each burger, in a matter of minutes! We are looking for a Shift Manager to join us who can assist and supervise our teams to create and maintain The Grazing Shed Experience for our customers and staff.
Summary of Key Responsibilities of Shift Manager Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote the culture, values, and mission of The Grazing Shed.
- Communicates clearly and concisely, keeping an open dialogue between the store manager and the shift team to ensure effective store operations.
- Develops positive relationships with the shift team by understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns.
- Delivers legendary customer service by modelling a customer comes first attitude and leading the shift team to follow their example.
- Mentors staff by assessing performance, providing feedback, and coaching to improve staff performance and effectively recommending employment decisions to store manager.
- Supports store operations by recognizing and reinforcing individual and team accomplishments.
- Maintains and models a calm demeanour to continue our high operating standards during periods of high volume or special events.
- Reviews store environment and key business indicators to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement in order to provide coaching and direction to the shift team to achieve operational goals.
- Communicates ideas to the store manager for broader areas of improvement within the store.
- Supports the store manager in implementing company programs by working directly with the shift team to execute action plans that meet operational and organizational objectives.
- Utilises and provides direction to staff during their shift on the use of operational tools to achieve excellence effectively.

Summary of Experience
- 2 years of progressively responsible retail experience
- 1 year of customer service experience in a retail or restaurant environment
- 1 year of experience in directing the work of others Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Deliver customer service that meets and exceeds customer expectation
- Provide direction to others
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good team-building skills
- Knowledge of the retail environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £12.85 per hour
