Accountant Jobs London are partnering with a rapidly growing fast-paced FMCG based in Central London, in the search of a Trainee Management Accountant to join them on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will be brought in to support the FC with the transactional side of accounts and learn what is necessary to become fully qualified. This role is particularly exciting as you’ll be collaborating with the wider finance team to prepare budgets, produce a conclusive balance sheet and learn to do cash flow modelling.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the maintenance and timely completion of various transactional processes, ensuring accurate numbers.
- Assisting with Management Reporting.
- Collaborate daily with the Financial Controller for cash flow reporting.
- Support the month-end process through the preparation of journals and supporting analysis/schedules, in line with company deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Financial Controller to assist with VAT and general tax returns and assist with any capital allowance & R&D work.
- Seek to improve processes where possible.
The successful candidate will be a Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), with 1-2 years’ experience working in an accountancy role in a small business. Energised by working in a fast-paced quickly growing FMCG business, you’ll need to be organised, self-motivated and able to balance your study & work commitments. A calm, confident communicator, with high attention to detail, who’s a strong team player would thrive in this role. Sound Excel skills are essential and experience with Xero would be advantageous too.
