Our Level 5 Higher Apprenticeships:
Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a college, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 5 Higher Apprenticeships have a typical duration of three years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.
What we're looking for:
We're looking for apprentices that are curious about the built and natural environment and are committed to their personal development. We'll teach you the skills and technical knowledge that you need for a rewarding career in design and professional services, where you'll be part of a collaborative team that delivers excellence for our clients.
You should be available to start this opportunity no later than September 2023.

Transport Planning
As Transport Planners our work engages with all modes of transport, from walking and cycling to rail planning, station design and airport access across the UK and globally. Sustainable travel and decarbonising transport is at the core of what we do, working with clients to drive change and improve access to sustainable travel choices. Our apprentices work across all aspects of our business, including but not limited to:

Our transport planners work side by side with specialists from a wide range of backgrounds, including environmental, planning and civil engineering. Many of our projects are boundary pushing and nationally significant. Apprentices and former apprentices in the transport planning space in the UK contribute to major projects such as the development of the HS2 (High Speed Rail), Department for Transport's National Bus Strategy, Active Travel schemes as well as projects with a more local impact such as our work for East Midlands Development Corporation and Birmingham Airport.
We work hard to foster good relationships with everyone involved in the planning process – including national governments, regional partnerships or agencies, local planning authorities and developers as well the wider community and stakeholders.
We are looking for candidates with five or more GCSEs including grade B/5/6 or above in Maths and a minimum of 3 A Levels at grade C or above, or a level 3 apprenticeship or other relevant qualification
