How will you make an impact?
Working closely with our sales teams across EMEA, you will have regional responsibility for presenting the value proposition of our Digital Science Solutions products through traditional and digital channels. You will drive product and industry-based marketing initiatives - based on strong alignment with the sales and product development organizations, to drive growth and support business priorities.
Our aim is to provide scientific customers with solutions to digitize their research, development, and manufacturing lab operations. We need someone to engage with customers in each of their assigned countries, implementing local campaigns to describe how laboratory software can be applied to move towards a smarter lab environment and digitally transform their business.
Position summary
The Regional Marketing Manager, EMEA, localises and implements marketing campaigns for the Digital Science product lines, in collaboration with the global marketing leader and the commercial team. You will be responsible for market awareness and lead generation using translated content, including brochures, case studies, whitepapers, video, web, thought leadership, and sales enablement materials (presentations, battle cards, etc.). The understanding of local business and market requirements will be fundamental for the adaption and execution of campaigns to support business growth. This person will work to deliver sales leads through existing accounts as well as finding opportunities to develop new business and collaborating with the local team on large deal opportunities. With a good understanding of scientific and/or laboratory software markets, they will collaborate with Market Intelligence and Product Management on competitive and industry positioning.
This individual will need to work capably with local agencies to deliver high quality translated content, graphics and videos for digital and traditional marketing. The role involves campaign and program management comprising events (running our own in person and digital events, as well as leading our attendance at third party events and tradeshows), paid and earned media, advertising, thought leadership, social media, blog posts, and eblasts.
The role requires close collaboration with local sales and marketing teams across other Thermo Fisher businesses to find opportunities to improve sales efficiency, and drive lead qualification through collaboration with telemarketing and inside sales. You will work with agencies to drive Voice of Customer, stay current on evolving marketing methodologies and provide thought leadership to guide marketing strategies.
Requirements:
This position is ideal for a candidate with experience in the marketing of technical solutions or software, particularly laboratory informatics capabilities (LIMS, ELN, SDMS and connectivity). The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education, experience and skills:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field and/or Business Administration required

Minimum of 5 years' experience in developing and implementing successful marketing campaigns in countries across EMEA

Excellent written and verbal English

Proven success in communicating technical concepts to a variety of audiences

An ability to work within a diverse, cross-functional team across multiple locations

Experience working with external partners and agencies

Willing to travel 10-20% including internationally
