Job Title: IT Service Manager

Salary: Circa. £65,000K - Dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
- Manage the cross functional support team
- Ensuring day to day incidents raised are addressed in timely manner by the support desk, and where these are managed by our third-party providers, ensuring service levels are met
- Act as a two-way escalation point between the business and our IT service partners
- Ensuring our adherence to published IT polices and proving, via auditing, that we can demonstrate compliance
- Ensuring our IT estate is managed, including responding to critical patches, asset traceability, application, Operating System and server patching, account management and peripheral management
- Ensuring the management of the onsite meeting rooms and video conferencing facilities
- Creating a motivated, customer focussed team, dedicated to service delivery
- Manage and assist in resolution of technical and software application incidents
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
- Strong technical background and experience working in a similar support role
- Good problem and analytical skills, with an ability to cut through complex situations
- Ability to motivate and develop people, ensuring the team hold the appropriate skills to deliver
Desirable:
- Knowledge of key business process and IT applications to support e.g., ERP, MES, Time Recording, CAD modelling
- Understand the importance of sound BCM plans and recover methods
- Awareness of IT infrastructure

The Programme- IT Management team:
BAE Systems, Electronic Systems IT (UK) based in Rochester require an IT Service Manager reporting to the Head of IT and forms part of the IT management team. The role is responsible for managing the existing support team to ensure service delivery to the business. In this role you will also manage the IT estate ensuring compliance, manage our third-party IT partners and dealing with service availability issues as well as maintaining the site meeting room facilities.
