Job Description
Lansdown Park, Rush Hill site is the only Pupil Referral Unit serving BANES. We support some of the most disadvantaged young people in the area with 100% of our students receiving Free School Meals. We support local mainstream schools for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 by offering 12 week preventative placements for those children who are deemed as at high risk of permanent exclusion or have already been permanently excluded. When they arrive with us we often discover unidentified SEND, particularly around trauma and attachment, and so we always take a trauma aware approach to curriculum planning and lesson delivery.
Thrive, social skills and precision teaching as well as other interventions play a key role in the holistic approach to our curriculum offer. Last year 100% of our Key Stage 4 students achieved a GCSE in English and Maths and all secured a post 16 placement.
