Classroom Teacher Full Time: 2022-2023 School Year
Candidate must be living in the proximity or within commuting distance to Belmont, CA.

Requirements for Classroom Teacher
- Current teaching credential and experience teaching in the classroom with younger students
- Solid knowledge of subject matter and how students learn
- Candidate should be willing to be collaborative, flexible, self-motivated and interested in growing professionally
- Ability to plan and implement progressive curriculum that promotes a nurturing child centered classroom
- Must have excellent writing and communication skills
- Full time position
Responsibilities
- Develops and maintains lesson and unit plans with clear outcomes
- Teaches content and skills utilizing California state standards
- Adapts material and methods to develop relevant sequential assignments that engage, guide and challenge all students in learning
- Encourage students to think independently and express original ideas
- Be fully prepared each day to conduct class to impact meaningful knowledge, skills and values to students
- Regularly checks for understanding and provides ongoing feedback to students on their learning
- Documents student learning and provides clear grading criteria to students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents
- Share in the sponsorship of student activities and participate in faculty meetings/committees
- A love of students and sense of humor are required
- Knowledge of progressive education teaching techniques
